To exact revenge on Preesha's betrayal of both of them and Vidyut's death, they are only pretending to be so.
The most recent YHC spoilers state that Pihu will be carried in Rudra's arms after being bitten by a Scorpio.

Rudra will even accuse Preesha of biting Pihu with a scorpion.
